Abstract
In the pistachio-growing orchards of Iran, pistachio plants with seeds. Propagation by asexual method to multiply trees, shorten the juvenile period and produce resistant rootstocks to biological and environmental stresses requires evaluating the compatibility of commercial cultivars with these rootstocks in different areas. This research aims to compare the growth and performance of commercial cultivars, Ahmad-Aghaei and Owhadi, based on the seed and tissue culture of "Badami Zarand" rootstocks. This research was a factorial experiment based on a randomized complete block design with two rootstocks and two cultivars in three replications. The investigation of the phenology stages showed that the flowering time of the Ahmad-Aghaei cultivar in the seed rootstocks was earlier than tissue culture rootstocks. Concerning final kernel size, seed rootstocks were faster. Based on the results, the Ahmad-Aghaei cultivar with seed rootstocks had higher water content (0.592) compared to tissue culture rootstocks (0.527) and the same trend was observed in the Owhadi cultivar (in seed rootstocks was 0.528 and in tissue culture rootstocks was 0.454). The highest branch length, canopy and number of reprodutive buds were in the seed rootstocks and Ahmad-Aghaei cultivar. The results of the concentration of leaf nutrient elements showed that the highest amount of boron, iron, zinc, manganese and copper was related to seed rootstocks. The results of yield indicators showed that the highest fruit length, fruit thickness and brain length were observed in seed rootstocks. The lowest percentage of blank nuts in the Ahmad-Aghaei cultivar and seed rootstocks. The highest number of cluster seeds was observed in the seed rootstocks in Ahmad-Aghaei and the Owhadi cultivars, and then in tissue culture rootstocks. The dry yield in kilograms per hectare was related to Ahmad-Aghaei cultivar with seed rootstocks (880/72) > Ahmad-Aghaei cultivar with tissue culture rootstocks (493/32),
