Abstract
The common pistachio psylla, Agonoscena pistaciae is a major pest in pistachio orchards. In this study, we compared the efficacy of Thiovit Jet sulfur at three different doses (4, 6 and 8 per thousand), Barish sulfur 25 per thousand + Rika at 1 per thousand, were compared with Confidor (SC 35%) in controlling this pest. This experiment was carried out using a randomized complete block design with four replications, in Rafsanjan suburbs, Iran, during the years 1400 and 1401. The pistachio farms included the Ohadi and Ahmad Aghaei cultivars. Statistical analyzes were performed using SAS software and the means were compared with the Duncan test at 5% level. The results showed that in 2 days after spraying, the most percentage of effect was observed in Confidor teratment and with Thiovit Jet 6 and 8 per thousand and Barish sulfur 25 per thousand + Rika 1 per thousand treatments did not show a significant difference. In 14 and 21 days after spraying, effect percentage of Barish sulfur 25 per thousand + Rika 1 per thousand and Thiovit Jet 6 and 8 per thousand, demonstrated higher effectiveness compared to the Confidor treatment. However no significant differences were observed among these four treatments. In 21 days after spraying, the effectiveness of all treatments decreased compared to the previous sampling, and no significant difference was found among Tiovit Jet treatments. Confidor treatment was ineffective at this stage.
