The management of water resources in the country has faced controversies due to the increase in demand on the one hand and the reduction of per capita renewable water on the other, especially in recent years. Agriculture, as one of the most water-consuming sectors, faces serious challenges in the field of water supply. With its dry and desert climate, Kerman province has always faced the problem of water shortage. As one of the strategic products of Kerman province, Pistachio production is highly dependent on water, and the lack of this vital resource can directly affect the production and quality of this product. Water management in the north of Kerman province is based on game theory; after identifying the players and their strategies, we solved the game, and ultimately, the most favorable mode of decision-making for better management of water resources in the region was obtained. For this purpose, research data was obtained from 165 questionnaires completed in two-stage cluster sampling by farmers in the region during the agricultural year 1402. The results of the study showed that the optimal strategy for managing water resources in pistachio production is to reduce the cultivated area and have the government receive water from farmers. Choosing other strategies will mean more losses for the farmers or the government.
